Drawing journey: The creation of my work “Salvador Dali”
Share
There are works that emerge quietly and calmly. And there are works that accompany you over weeks, across places and stages – and grow with each line.
My current portrait of Salvador Dali definitely belongs to the second category.
It all began at a drawing workshop in Göttingen. I felt the need to fully immerse myself in drawing – in observing closely, in lingering on the details. Back in Tyrol, the work accompanied me to the Zinnhof in Styria and finally back to Innsbruck. It's not quite finished yet, but there's not much left to do – and I'm really looking forward to being able to show you this work in its entirety soon.

What makes this drawing so special for me is the depth of the drawing process.
Working intensively on every wrinkle, every pore – it's like meditation. Mindfulness in the best sense. Everything else falls silent as I lose myself in the line. Drawing becomes a journey that leads me into a state of complete presence. A very special feeling of devotion, clarity, and connection.
Once the work is completed, it will be available as an art print – on high-quality paper in a frame or on canvas, if desired.
If you are interested, please contact me now – some pre-orders have already been placed!
I'll keep you updated here and look forward to sharing the finished picture with you soon.
See you soon and best wishes from my studio,
Julia
