Julia Lippitsch – Contemporary Austrian Artist

Julia Lippitsch is a renowned Austrian artist whose works combine drawing and painting. At the heart of her creative process are rootedness, inner landscapes, and the relationships between humans, nature, and their environment – shaped by her childhood in the Alps, the experience of space, vastness, and a connection to her surroundings.

In hyperrealistic drawings with charcoal and graphite, figures and structures of remarkable precision and depth emerge, born from observation, intuition, and masterful craftsmanship. In her paintings, large-scale color applications form the base, over which delicate lines are laid – structure-giving elements that set accents, define focal points, and hold the composition together. This combination of drawing and painting reflects the interplay of the inner and outer world, making rootedness and relational structures sensually tangible.

Her works have been exhibited in numerous shows in Austria and are represented in private collections. In addition to her artistic practice, Julia Lippitsch works as a lecturer at boesner Vienna and Graz and leads the artists' association Gruppe84. She continuously works on new series of works and commissions in the field of contemporary drawing and painting.

  • In the middle of my world

Here I am completely myself. My space, my freedom. Uninfluenced by outside influences, completely at peace with myself.
