Kunstatelier im „wisswak“

Art studio in the “wisswak”

"New paths emerge as you walk" is the motto of the two business partners Julia Lippitsch and Sabrina Fleisch. For 13 years, the two have run the successful advertising agency "carpemedia," with offices in Montafon and Innsbruck. Satisfying her thirst for knowledge, Sabrina enrolled in architecture studies four years ago, while Julia discovered art. With the opening of the winter art studio at "wisswak" in Tschagguns, the careers of the two entrepreneurs are converging again.

The "wisswak" – the result of an architectural student project in collaboration with the Vorarlberg Alpine Association – was originally conceived as a mobile exhibition pavilion. In recent years, it has shown numerous visitors interesting facts on a variety of topics at various locations, such as next to the Totalphütte, at Bludenz Postplatz, and at Villa Falkenhorst. The small, mobile building was originally supposed to go into hibernation in October. But then there was an urgent need for space for an art studio, and so the "wisswak" was transported from its summer location next to the Sarotlahütte to Tschagguns and placed in the artist's garden. After some cleaning and renovation work, Julia has now started work in her new, attractive studio and has created her first works.

Opening ceremony in Tschagguns on 18.11.22

During the opening, the main sponsors at the time were immortalized on the "wisswak." Sponsor plaques from the companies büro21, GABA-Bau, Fussenegger Holzbau, and the Vorarlberg Alpine Association were ceremoniously affixed to the building's façade. Without the generous support of these companies, the implementation of the architectural project in 2020 would not have been possible.

Exhibition in spring

The studio is already busy preparing for an exhibition in the spring. Before the "wisswak" sets off on its journey again and is installed at its new location, it will open its doors once again and display the paintings created over the winter. Further information about the exhibition will follow.
