Press release – telfsPARK facade project: Art in public space

Public art: Innsbruck artist Julia Lippitsch transforms the facade of telfsPARK into a large-scale artwork.
In autumn 2025, Austrian artist Julia Lippitsch transformed the approximately 300 m² exterior wall of the telfsPARK retail park into a vibrant and colorful work of art. The design, created during an intensive preparation phase and eight days on a construction platform, went far beyond mere decoration: it was conceived as a symbol of courage, creativity, and joie de vivre in public space. With the open evening event “Art Moment with Julia Lippitsch,” telfsPARK invited visitors to meet the artist in person and experience the mural on site – accompanied by impressions, conversations, and numerous social media posts under the hashtag #telfsPARKKunstmoment . MeinBezirk.at

Artistic significance

The telfsPARK project brings art from the traditional exhibition space directly into people's everyday lives. The large-scale facade was deliberately designed as a freely accessible artwork, transforming public spaces into cultural experiences without entrance fees or barriers. Julia Lippitsch's work explores local identities: landscape, movement, color, and femininity combine to create a visual narrative that harmonizes life and art. MeinBezirk.at

It is an example of how contemporary art in public spaces visibly reaches people, has an impact through everyday contacts, and contributes to the cultural perception of a region.
