"Alpine City" opens up a view from the Seegrube down onto nocturnal Innsbruck - a place between heaven and earth, between silence and pulsating life. The city lies at the viewer's feet, crisscrossed by luminous lines and golden fragments that appear like a breathing network of light.
The surrounding mountain ranges – Patscherkofel, Serles, and Glungezer – frame the scenery like silent guardians. The gaze extends further into the depths of the Wipptal, while the scattered villages of the low mountain range unfold as fine, golden markers in space. They are not merely geographical points, but carriers of memory, life, and connection.
In an abstract visual language of acrylic and charcoal, the landscape condenses into a multifaceted structure of texture, movement, and energy. Gold permeates the work like an inner glow – it makes the invisible visible, elevates the familiar into a new dimension, and imbues the topography with an almost meditative depth.
