Description
Acrylic and metal leaf on canvas
100x150cm, 2026
From the perspective of Patscherkofel, a wide view opens up over the Inn Valley towards the Nordkette, which unfolds powerfully along the horizon. The city of Innsbruck lies nestled at its feet – not as a concrete place, but as a luminous structure of energy and life.
Fine traces of gold leaf run through the painting, marking the city lights. They act like a pulsating network, gently embedded in the surrounding landscape. The golden accents lend an inner warmth to the scenery – as if the light itself radiates from the depths of the space.
In a reduced, abstract formal language of acrylic and charcoal, the landscape condenses into calm, flowing structures. Warm gold, beige, and brown tones characterize the composition, creating an atmosphere of grounding, closeness, and connection to nature.
"Nordkette in Light" is a quiet counterpoint – a view from the outside of the familiar. A moment of reflection, where vastness and security meet, and the landscape becomes not only visible but palpable.
