The artwork "Sīmāpāla सीमापाल – Border Guardian" is a striking fusion of natural colors, powerful symbolism, and a geometric order that lends structure to chaotic intuition. The background is inspired by the colors of nature: blue, gray, light green, black, and shades of brown blend into an abstract, vibrant tapestry that represents the primal, disordered. This untamed energy of the background represents the unpredictability and chaos of life.
Perched on this dynamic base is the head of a white tiger, framed in mandala structures. The white tiger, a well-known power animal, symbolizes the guardian of one's own boundaries in this work. Its presence brings not only protection but also a reminder that self-assertion and boundary setting are essential for personal growth and inner strength. The mandala patterns that form the tiger's head act as a higher-order system that transforms the chaos of the background into harmony and clarity.
While the background is created through intuitive, free movement and color, the geometric precision of the mandalas provides calm and balance. This juxtaposition of chaos and order creates a powerful tension that transforms the work into a profound visual experience.
Technically, the work uses a combination of acrylics and markers on canvas. The sharp lines of the mandala structure contrast with the soft, almost flowing color gradients of the background, creating a fascinating sense of depth. "Sīmāpāla" is not only a homage to nature and its elements, but also a symbolic representation of the inner journey toward self-assertion and clarity.
