Light Edge I
from the series Topographies of Light
In Light Edge I, a moment familiar to many from the mountains condenses – that fleeting instant just before dusk, when the last rays of sunlight touch only the highest peaks and the mountain edges begin to glow. For a brief moment, the light itself seems to linger on the rocks before slowly disappearing behind the summits.
The gentle beige and rose tones evoke the warmth of an alpine sunset, the silent afterglow of the day, and that special tranquility that settles over the landscape as the light softens and the mountain contours almost seem to float.
The golden lines appear as fragile traces of light – like reflections that show less the real form of a mountain and more the inner feeling associated with such moments. These are not concrete landscapes, but emotional spaces of remembrance. Places of longing, stillness, and inner vastness.
Light Edge invites us not only to look at the work, but to find ourselves within it: the feeling of fresh mountain air on the skin, the slow passing of the day, awe at the grandeur of nature, and those rare moments when everything seems to become still.
The works speak of light not only as a visible phenomenon, but as a mood, as a memory, and as an inner state – as something that touches, warms, and for a moment makes the essential visible.
