Description
This work depicts a woman in traditional dress, both powerful and serene. Her braid falls loosely to the side, her face only partially visible – deliberately not fully shown. This creates space: space to find oneself reflected in her.
The traditional costume is rich in floral patterns, woven directly and indirectly into the fabric, structure, and surface. It appears almost overloaded, yet harmonious – like memories layered upon layer across generations.
Home, origin, anchoring, and rootedness are central themes of this work. The woman depicted stands with poise. Her presence is clear, calm, and strong. She appears carried by what came before her—by her history, her roots, her origins.
It's not a nostalgic look back, but a powerful presence in the present. Strengthened by where one comes from. Rooted – and precisely because of that, free.
This image is an invitation to see one's origins not as a limitation, but as a foundation. As a source of strength from which one can grow.
